Bachelor Of Science In Medical Imaging Technology (BScMIT)
The program aims at realising the following objectives :
- To make the students know the basic anatomy of the body so that he/she can interpret the parts on the radiograph.
- To teach basic physiology of the body & how pathology will alter it, leading to a disease process.
- To train the student in conventional radiography as well as in modern imaging techniques.
- To educate students about a few alternative procedures which are not routinely performed.
- To get information about the health of a patient with regards to diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
ELIGIBILITY
- 10+2 or equivalent in any discipline OR
- 2 year vocational program in Medical Records / Health Information from a recognized University/ Institution /Board after 10th standard
- Provision for Direct entry to Third Semester:
- 3-year Diploma in Medical records / Health information from a recognized Institute (recognized by State Paramedical Board) after 10th standard.
- Provision for Direct entry to Fifth Semester:
- 2-year Diploma in Medical Records / Health Information from a recognized University / Institutes (recognised by the State Paramedical Board) after 10+2.
Note: In this Direct entry scheme, students are exempted from appearing the examination for previous semesters. Student must carry out full internship of one year at the end of the program:
